Edna (Mansfield) Dumas, age 90, of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was the daughter of the Late Bertha (Bryant) Mansfield and George Mansfield. She was widowed by the late Arlen Dennison and then by the late Frances (Frenchy) Dumas. She is survived by the late Denice Dennison, the late Joanne Dennison Shelan, her grandson Aaron from IL and his wife Jenny Shelan, great grandchildren Hanna, Grace Luke and Jake, Mindy Kelly, granddaughter Teya, Arlen Dennison of Bradford MA his wife Judi Dennison, grandsons Derik and Dylan, Arthena Rubin of GA her grandchildren Zachary Downing, Skylar Downing, Brent Rubin, Todd Gaito his wife Christina Great granddaughter Emma. She also leaves many loving Stepchildren, step-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and cousins, whom each one she loved so deeply.
Born and raised in Lynn she grew up in the Brickyard. She moved briefly with her husband Arlen in the service to West Virgina and then to Chicago, she then returned home to Lynn. Edie was so proud of being from Lynn she would always talk of the great times she had. She knew everybody and was loved by all who knew her. She worked for many years at Lynn Hospital until it closed then worked at Union Hospital until retiring. A Marvel of a woman to everyone she met. She always took the time. She loved to cook; cooking meant family to her the more the merrier. She loved to travel whether it was cruise to Bermuda, or a flight to Germany with her sister (cousin) Mary or a car ride to Florida, Texas or Canada with her good friend Claire. She was always busy loving life and her family and friends. She was a member of PACE in Lynn for over 20 years.
Graveside service will be Monday, April 6 th , 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, meeting at the Boston Street gate. A celebration of her life will be in May, once COVID-19 has dissipated. Arrangements by the Goodrich Funeral Home of Lynn.
