Anne M. Driscoll, 81, of Lynnfield, passed away on March 1, 2017 at Rosewood Rehabilitation in Peabody surrounded by her loving family and the VNA hospice team after a 2 ½ year battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She was born on March 21, 1935 in Boston, daughter of the late Henry and Ann (Kelly) Boutilier. Anne's greatest love was caring for her family. She was a devoted caregiver to her son David Lewis, who has autism, and she was an autism advocate. Although she worked part time out of the home, she loved to cook, garden, decorate her home and have family and friends over to celebrate, have fun, and create long lasting memories. She was a devout Catholic who prayed daily and said Novena prayers to countless people. She was loved by many for her strength and strong will. She is survived by her husband Robert Driscoll and was predeceased by George L. Lewis Jr. "Sonny" in 1981. A beloved mother to her 4 children, George M. Lewis and his partner Nancy Monoco, William Lewis, Kathleen Swaine and her husband Kenneth P. Swaine and David Lewis, 7 grandchildren, Christopher Swaine, Eric Swaine, Christopher Lewis, Brian Swaine, Meaghan Lewis, Jennifer Swaine and George Michael Lewis, one great grandchild, Allison, her brother James Boutilier along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Henry Boutilier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Pius Church, Maple St., Lynn on Thursday at 11:00. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the May Institute.org for autism and brain injury, or to the North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers.
