Obituary

Arlene Clinton, 77, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Kaplan Hospice House

Born March 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Rowe) Tomeo.

Born and raised in Beverly, Arlene attended Beverly High School before making Lynn her home for most of her adult life. She was known for her spunky personality, warm heart, and devotion to her family. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved, gardening, shopping for family and friends, and caring for animals. She had a special love for her beloved dog, Emma, who was a cherished companion. Above all, she treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arlene worked for many years as a waitress at the Porthole Pub and later for Lynn Public Schools until her retirement. Throughout her years at both the Porthole and the Lynn School Department, she formed lifelong friendships that she deeply valued. She will be remembered for her kindness, quick wit, and spirited nature.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Karen; grandchildren Jenna, Raymond, Janelle, and Cassie, whom she lovingly raised from a young age; great-grandchildren Nevaeh and Penelope; siblings Josephine, Mary, Dave, and Fred; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was also fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful neighbors whose kindness, support, and care meant so much to her, particularly during the final chapter of her life.

She was predeceased by her parents and her son, Kevin.

In accordance with Arlene’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
