IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arlene Louise
Katin
July 4, 2022
God smiled and called out to Arlene Louise Katin as she stayed up all night just patiently waiting.
Then a beautiful door appeared in the sky on that faithful morning this past 4th of July.
A young handsome man happily walked through the door his patients ran out, he couldn't wait anymore.
He strolled through the house as we slept away dreaming waiting for her soulmate she was excited and beaming.
Then he held out his hand as he walked to her side and called out "Arlene" to his beautiful bride.
She opened her eyes and gave out smile and responded "My dear Fred it's been a long while".
He told her her time here was over and done and looked at her softly and said "come with me hun".
A bright light shined down on her as she glistened and glowed then out came her soul that looked 18 years old.
Then that door opened in the skies parted way they looked like they did on their wedding day.
Yes the handsome man was her soulmate and groom, he whispered "It's the 4th, let's go out with a boom".
Arlene Louise Fletcher Katin became an Angel on July 4, 2022, while surrounded by the ones who loved her more than anything. She was 90 years old. Born in Peckville, PA and raised in Lynn to the late Walter & Grace (Francis) Fletcher. Arlene attended Lynn Schools and graduated from Lynn English High. Shortly after graduating she met and married the late Fred Katin, who predeceased her in 2011. They were each other's soulmates and shared over 60 years of pure bliss. Arlene worked as a health aide for many years and enjoyed helping others in their time of need. Arlene's true passion was being a proud mother to her four children and the beloved grandmother to her eight grandchildren. In addition to being the adored matriarch of her family she was an active member and Deaconess of the Washington St Baptist Church for over 70 years. She had countless close friends whose friendships lasted many years. Most of all, Arlene loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She never missed a sporting event or activity for her children or grandchildren. Mrs. Katin is survived by her daughter Linda & her husband Peter Turco of Lynn, her son Richard F. Katin of Lynn, her son Fred & his wife Kathy Katin of Byfield , and her daughter Kathy Coukos. Her granddaughter Arlene Turco and her grandsons Brian Turco, and the late Bret Turco (who pre-deceased her in 2017) all of Lynn, Fred Katin Jr & Joseph Katin of Byfield, Frank Coukos of Orlando, FL, Chuck Coukos of Kennebunk, ME, and Amy Coukos. She is also survived by brother & sister-in-law Richard E. & Mary Katin of Lynn, as well as her great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. She also leaves behind her dog Monty, who she loved dearly, and her kitten Morty. Arlene is predeceased by her brothers Walter "Buddy", Billy, and Tom Fletcher. Arlene will be sadly missed by so many. She treated everybody with kindness and respect. Her family can take comfort in knowing that Arlene & Fred have been reunited in Heaven, along with her grandson, her parents, and siblings, who she missed so dearly.
