Mrs. Barbara Jean Tucker-Abbar, age 61, of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly on Friday in her sleep at home. She was the wife of Abdul Abbar, with whom she shared 20 years of marriage.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, Barbara was the daughter of the late Ruth E. Tucker. She attended Lynn public schools.
Barbara enjoyed her nights out at bingo, cooking, and enjoying time with her 17 grandchildren. The greatest joy of Barbara's life was her family and taking every opportunity to spend with them. She looked forward to family get-togethers, especially when her grandchildren were there.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: Karen Tucker of Derry, N.H., Hilario Tucker and his wife Tammey of Georgetown, Carlos of Southbridge, Juan of Rye, N.H., Christeno of Lynn, and 17 grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Sonia Tucker. Barbara leaves one sister Ruthann Bozarjian of Lynn, and two brothers Robert Tucker of Lynn and Charles Tucker and his wife Kathy Tucker of Swampscott.
Service information: Barbara's funeral will be held from the GOODRICH Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectively invited. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
