Bobby Tyler, 60, of Lynn MA passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

Bobby was born on September 12, 1962 to the late Odell & Ruthie Mae Tyler in Boston MA. Bobby grew up and attended public schools of the Boston area. After High school Bobby enlisted in the US Army.

Bobby is survived by his 2 children Bobby Nelson of MA, and Shari Tyler-Melendez (Emmanuel) of GA. Bobby was Pop-Pop to his grandkids, Alexiana, Jhazlyn, Jayliana, Avalyn, Aaliyana, Niyah, Savon, and Ava.

Bobby was 1 of 17 children. He was predeceased by his siblings Avent, Geneva, Emma, Levorne, Carol, Vernon, Dickie, and Jimmy. He is survived by his siblings Haywood, Delores, Roger, Odell, Shirley, Ronnie, Donnie, and James; and a host of sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Bobby was loved by everyone that he came in contact with. He had a great love for music. His idols being the late Prince and the late Michael Jackson. Bobby was everyone's "Uncle Bobby". To be around Bobby was to laugh until your stomach hurt. His Bernie Mac impressions, his random moonwalks, his singing, his dancing, and his ability to draw the attention in a room and make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by all that loved and adored him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Brotherhood: 15 Coburn St. Lynn  on July 19, 2023 from 5-9pm. Please wear purple or white if possible.
