Carmela Guzman, age 69, of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 3, 2014. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Tip O'Neil building in Boston for more than twenty years. Carmela enjoyed music and loved to dance. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lynn. She is survived by her children, Roberto Valdez of Everett, Gerardo Valdez of Lynn, Tomas Valdez of NC and David Valdez of Lynn, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several siblings in the Dominican Republic, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Carmela's funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Union St., Lynn, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, on Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
