Carol Julien, 73, of Lynn passed peacefully late Sunday night, surrounded by her loving family at Kaplan Family Hospice.
Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Emile and Diana (St. Pierre) LaPointe. She was the long time companion of Benito Lopez-Martinez. She is survived by her three children, Kenneth L. LaPointe and his wife Kimberly of Lynn, Scott M. Julien Sr. and his wife Carol Ann of Danvers and Donna M. D'Angelo of Peabody; grandchildren Jermaine and Nicholas Hernandez, Scott Jr. and Bianca Julien and Sophia Julien Ramos; her great-grandson Jordan Hernandez and many nieces and nephews.
Carol enjoyed Bingo, wrestling, crossword puzzles, playing cards and knitting. She was a regular at St. Mary's Bingo in Lynn. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She very much loved babysitting her grandogs Taz and Coco.
She was the sister of Henry LaPointe of Florida, Lorraine Altobelli of Rochester, New Hampshire, Sandra Santos of Peabody; and the late Roland, Roger, Robert, Emile, Leo, and Daniel LaPointe, Rita Herilihy and Barbara Lord. She was also the grandmother to the late Jazmine Julien.
Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St. Lynn on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
