Carole F. (Bradley) Smith age 81 of Lynn, MA passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Abbott Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lynn, MA after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Carole was born in Lynn, MA on June 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Charles W. Bradley Sr. and late Florence M. (Fowler) Bradley.

In the past Carole worked for the City of Lynn as a Crossing Guard.  She was a member of Wall Plaza Resident Council, Mass Senior Action, Lynn Senior Center, and Lynn Shutter Society. Carole enjoyed reading, photography, traveling, bingo and was an avid sports fan.

Carole leaves behind her grandchildren, Tonya Gilchrist, Anthony Gilchrist, Yolanda Gilchrist, several great-grandchildren, her Brothers-In- Law, Jesse Tim Potter and Sidney Davis, her Sister-In-Law Cheryl Bradley and many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as her host of friends at Wall Plaza, St. Stephen's Tower and St. Mary's Plaza.

Carole was pre-deceased by her siblings, Charles W. Bradley Jr., Michael C. Bradley, Ellen M. Bradley, Deanna M. (Bradley) Davis, Edward J. Bradley, and Deborah L. (Bradley) Potter. Her daughter Cheryl Ann (Smith) Gilchrist, her grandson Maurice Gilchrist, and her special friend Charles F. Mitchell.

Carole's niece, Donna Davis, would like to thank the staff at Mass General Cancer Center - Danvers, Commonwealth Care Alliance, Care Dimensions - Hospice Care and Abbott Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all their care, kindness and guidance given to her and her Aunt Carole during this 2-year long battle with cancer.  Carole will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A funeral service will be held at St. Stephen's Church, 74 South Common Street, Lynn, MA on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with burial immediately to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements organized by Goodrich Funeral Home.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at LHAND Community Room, 10 Church Street, Lynn, MA at 1:00 p.m. to enjoy a light lunch as we reminisce about Carole.
