Ceferino Ortiz passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, suddenly, following a brief illness.  He lived in Lynn for thirty-five years.  He was born and raised in Comerio, Puerto Rico and had been a resident of Brentwood Rehab and Nursing Home in Danvers.  He loved spending time with his family, playing his harmonica and dancing.  He was predeceased by his father, Hipolito Ortiz of Comerio, PR, his mother Juana Huertas of Comerio, PR, his brothers Santo Ortiz and William Ortiz of Springfield, Cristino Ortiz of Lawrence and sister Maria E. Rosario of Lynn and is survived by his sisters Carmen L. Ortiz, Maria T. Ortiz and Inez Rosario Rosario of Lynn, brothers Rafael Huertas of Lynn and Victor Rosario of Beverly as well as many nieces and nephews.  His memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26 ^th 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
