Charles Francis McQuarrie, 82, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Born in Lynn, Charlie was the son of the late Francis and Mary (Connolly) McQuarrie. For 51 years, he was the devoted husband of the late Mary Jane McQuarrie.

Charlie was a proud father to his daughter, Shannon, and his son, Sean, and Sean's wife, Nora, of Beverly. He was a loving grandfather to his two grandsons, Gavin and Liam. He is also survived by his sisters, Maureen Ryan, Kathleen Hudson, and Roseleen Tessier.

Charlie dedicated 39 years of his career to General Electric in Lynn, where he worked as a draftsman. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course and sharing a cold beer or a good whiskey neat with family and friends. Every July, he looked forward to his vacation at home, where he enjoyed relaxing in his backyard pool and spending time with his family.

Charlie will be remembered as a great storyteller whose sense of humor and memorable stories brought laughter to those around him.

At Charlie's request, no services will be held. Those who wish to honor his memory are invited to make a donation to Conquer Chiari in his name in lieu of flowers.
