Obituary

Claire (Conlon) Moseley passed away on January 14, 2016, surrounded by her family at Grosvenor Park Health Care in Salem. She was born in Lynn on February 13, 1936, the youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Quirk) Conlon. She was the loving wife of the late Edward "Ted" L. Moseley. Her survivors are her children, three sons, Joseph R. Despres and his wife Barbara, John K. Despres and his spouse Keith, and David P. Despres and his wife Angel, two daughters, Susan M. Welch and her husband Forrest and Marianne Centric and her husband Lee. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews, Edward C. Linehan and his wife Wendy and Joseph S. Linehan and his wife Genie, and several cousins, among them, Audrey Michaud and her husband Roger. Claire was predeceased by her brothers, USMC PVT Joseph F. Conlon and John H. Conlon, and sister, Eileen Linehan, as well as her previous husband, Roger A. Despres. She truly enjoyed her many friends and neighbors from St. Stephen Towers, especially the 8th floor gang. Claire was a class of 1953 graduate of St. Mary's Girl's High and treasured her classmates, who remained in contact after 60 years and got together every month or two for lunch. She had worked for Johnnie Joyces, the Lynnway Diner, Bryant Data, Puritan Medical Center and Intracorp Medical Claims. A memorial gathering will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, on Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. with a service to follow. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
