Constance R. "Connie" Bertwell, age 79, of Lynn, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017.
Born in Lynn on Nov. 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanette (Blanchard) Arsenault. Connie lived her entire life in Lynn.
Shortly after high school, Connie married Edward (Ted) Bertwell and began raising their family. She held many part time jobs in her life, but always considered that her career was as a wife, mother and grandmother. Connie loved spending time with her family and friends around the kitchen table with a warm cup of tea.
She is survived by Edward F. Bertwell, formerly of Stoneham, her devoted husband of 62 years, her children, Bruce and his wife Janice of Saugus, Brian of Lynn, Barry and his wife Kelly of Lynn, Brad of Lynn, and Brett of Salem. She also leaves seven grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Connie is also survived by her brothers, William Arsenault and William Camire and his wife Maureen of Lynn and her sister in law, Iris Arsenault of Lynn. She is preceded in death by her brothers Robert Arsenault and Walter Arsenault and his wife Barbara.
Services were private and burial was at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
