David O. Hicks, age 79, of Lynn, passed away Tuesday August 4, 2015. He was the companion of Nancy Arons. Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late William R. and Christiana (Osgood) Hicks. He served with the United States Air Force. Prior to his retirement, Dave worked as an embalmer for more than thirty years at the Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn. He also worked as an orderly at Union Hospital in Lynn. He enjoyed aviation, walking the beach, loved canning, and was an avid reader. In addition to Nancy, he is survived by his children, Marilyn P. Dube and her husband Richard of Kansas, Kathy Guimond and her husband Duane of NH and David O. Hicks Jr. of CA, a brother, Douglas R. Hicks and his wife Nancy of TX, his grandchildren, Crystal Scott and her husband David of Kansas, Anthony Arons of MA and Katie Knowles of MA, great-grandchildren Benjamin and Abram Scott of Kansas, many nieces, nephews and many friends and extended family. He also was the brother of the late William R. Hicks and Marjorie Ann Baker and grandfather to the late Tiffany A. Richard. As one of Dave's final requests, no memorial or services will take place.
