David Sward, 78, of Lynn, MA, passed on Monday, February 16, 2025, at home, with his loving wife by his side. He was a long-time resident of Lynn, MA.

David was born in Weymouth, MA, on March 30, 1947, to his late parents Arthur Sward and Marion (Thompson) Sward.

David is survived by his wife, Carol (Burke) Sward, of Lynn, MA; his brother Arthur Sward; as well as other family and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers Alan Sward, Richard Sward, and Philip Sward.

David earned his Master's degree from UMass Amherst in Engineering, and worked for years as a teacher at Saint Mary School in Lynn, MA. For hobbies, David was an avid fan of fly fishing, and also enjoyed golfing.

Calling Hours for David will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2pm-4pm, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street in Lynn, MA.
