Mr. David Lee Thomas Sr. transitioned peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025 after a brief illness at Salem Hospital in Salem, MA. Born on July 29, 1964 in Lynn, MA, to the late Mr. Elijah Thomas Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was educated within the Lynn Public Schools system, ultimately graduating from The Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, in the class of 1982 with a focus on welding. In his younger years, he found joy in playing basketball and baseball, and his infectious laughter and sharp sense of humor—often sprinkled with playful teasing—made him a beloved figure among friends and family.
Though Mr. Thomas chose a different path in life, he never lost sight of the values instilled in him by his parents, particularly the importance of keeping Christ at the center of his life. He was deeply committed to his children and family, always just a phone call away, ready to offer support and love whenever needed. His unwavering dedication to those he cared about highlighted his generous spirit and made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
His legacy will continue through his three sons, Mr. Adam (Danyel) Thomas, Mr. Ryan (Justice) Thomas and Mr. David Thomas Jr . His light will shine through his five grandchildren. He is forever loved by his Mother Mrs. Dorothy Thomas. His Strength will shine through his six siblings. Two sisters, Ms. Elaine & Mrs. Darlean (Jeff), Four Brothers, Mr. Elijah Jr, Mr. Eddie (Maureen) Sr, Mr. Alexander (Jill) and Mr. James (Keya) Thomas . He is respected and remembered by his loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Companions & Friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving father the late, Mr. Elijah Thomas Sr. Both Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, along with loving Aunts and Uncles.
