Dolores Marie (Roberto) Boyd, 83, of Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on December 27, 2024, with her loving companion of 23 years, Warren Dixon, by her side.
Born on September 12, 1941, Dolores was the loving wife of the late Robert Boyd, the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Rose Roberto and sister to the late Anthony Roberto.
Dolores is survived by her cherished children: Cheryl Burke and her husband Scott of Lynn, Jerry Boyd of Lynn, and David Boyd of Methuen. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Michael Divecchia and his wife Heather of West Barnstable, Angela McDonnell and her husband Ryan of North Reading, Kristen Kelly and her husband Mitch of Worcester, Ryan Keaveney of Cape Coral, Florida, Melissa Chhun and her husband Kamrang of Windham, New Hampshire, Alexandria Boyd of Peabody, and Dylan Mercaldi of Lynn. Additionally, she is remembered by her extended grandchildren Amanda Walter and her husband John of Beverly and Christa Goodman of Wakefield.
Dolores was a proud great-grandmother to Liam Kelley, Jaxon Boyd, Keegan McDonnell, Kailee Chhun, Lilyana Chhun, Gabriella Chhun, as well as her extended great-grandchildren, Eva Goodman, Julianna Goodman, Johnny Walter, and Cordelia Walter.
An avid bowler for many years with the MBTA league at Town Line in Malden, Dolores found joy in simple pleasures like driving around to admire Christmas lights and attending the Lynn Christmas Parade. She loved sharing laughter with her family and was known for cracking jokes and enjoying a cup of coffee with a biscotti.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 5th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Goodrich Funeral Home at 128 Washington Street in Lynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores' memory to Boystown.org/give.
Dolores will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
