Doris A. Canzano, 75, of Salem, MA, formerly of Lynn, MA, passed unexpectedly on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Doris was born in Boston, MA, on January 9, 1951, to her late parents Don Humbert Canzano and Celia (Speigel) Canzano. Raised in Lynn, MA, Doris attended Lynn Public Schools, and later relocated to Salem, MA, where she lived until her passing. Doris was a devout Catholic, and was a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Lynn, MA.
Doris leaves behind her sisters Linda Toomey, Darlene Landry, Elaine Love, and Janice Canzano; her life-long best friend Claire Murphy; her nephews Don Murray Hodgdon, Michael Love, and John Jones; her nieces Kelli Landry, Kerri Landry Mellinda Abbott, April Pratt, Erin Canzano, Patti Canzano, Tiffany Kolodziej, and Christine Canzano; as well as many more loved great-nieces and nephews, and many, many dear friends. Doris is predeceased by her parents Don Humbert and Celia Canzano; her brothers Donald, Arthur, Ralph, Richard and Robert; her sister Mary Lambert; and her niece Ann Marie Canzano.
Doris carried a big presence. She was the proud matriarch of her family, and was known as being the best secret keeper. She loved road trips, and vacations at Disney. Following in her late father's footsteps, she was a talented musician, playing the drums, keyboard, and guitar. Doris was also loved arts and crafts, always looked forward to going out to eat with family and friends, and loved interacting on her social media accounts! Doris was a cook in her own right, and was known for making a mean mac and cheese!
Doris was known for being a loving person who would do anything she could for anyone - always placing the needs of others over her own. She was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, and she will be dearly missed.
Calling Hours for Doris will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 10am-12pm, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, MA. A Funeral Service will take place immediately following Calling Hours on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 12pm at Goodrich Funeral Home; followed by a procession to Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, MA, for Graveside Committal Services.
