Mrs. Dorothy Griffin, age 83, of Lynn, was born to Lawrence F. Green and Dorothy M. Green on September 17, 1931. Mrs. Griffin succumbed after a lengthy illness at Salem Hospital. She was their second daughter of thirteen children. Mrs. Griffin attended Lynn Public Schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High. She was married to Mr. Eddie Griffin and traveled to Spain and other European countries. Mr. Griffin predeceased her in 2008. Mrs. Griffin was an employee of General Electric in Lynn and had also worked for the state of Massachusetts. Mrs. Griffin was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and labored faithfully as a volunteer for Christ, until her health failed. Mrs. Griffin leaves behind three siblings; Mrs. Cheryl Adgurson and her husband Michael of Alexandria, VA, Mr. Timothy D. Green and his wife Madeline of Dayton, OH and Mr. Thomas R. Green and his wife Alice of Conyers, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn on Thursday at noon, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 6-9 p.m.
