Dorothy "Dot" M. Harris, age 84, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on July 23, 2020.  She was the wife of the late Charles Harris of Lynn; the daughter of Richard and Alice (Falvey) Murphy.  She attended St. Joseph School and then St Mary's High school, class of 1953.  She went on to become a key punch operator in the banking industry, working for Essex Bank, Bank of New England, and Eastern Bank.  She later became a lunch aide at Ford Elementary School from 2005-2011.  Dot was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox.  She enjoyed trying her luck with the scratch tickets, and loved her pet dogs: Sherlock, Watson, and Ringo.  She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Harris of Lynn, son Scot Harris and his wife Barbara of Lynn, son Charles Harris of Lynn, and brother Donald Murphy of Peabody.  She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Amy Harris of Haverhill, Melissa Pierce and husband Dave of Haverhill, Joseph Harris and wife Emily of Lunenberg, MA, Steve Harris and Alison Harris of Lynn, and two great-grandchildren.  She was pre-deceased by her brother Richard Murphy of Lynn and sister Elizabeth Muse of Georgia.  Visitation will take place at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St, Lynn on Wednesday 7/29 from 4-7PM.    A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's church Thursday morning followed by internment at Swampscott Cemetery. www.goodrichfuneralhome.com
