Edward J. Devine, age 91, of Lynn, died August 3, 2022 following a lengthy illness.  He was the husband of the late Barbara (Murphy) Devine.  Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John and Helene (Bonner)Devine.  He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during Korea, and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Northeastern University with a BA.  Prior to his retirement, he had worked at Jasco Aluminum and Gordon Aluminum.  He loved reading and about the local politics in Lynn and the North Shore.  Ed is survived by his son David, grandchildren Jeleasa, Xavier, David Jr. and Marissa, great grandchild Selena, his brother John and extended family.  Visitation in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn Wednesday, 4-6 p.m.   A funeral mass will be held in St. Mary Church, South Common St., Lynn on Thursday at 1:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
