Eleanor Frances (Ruffin) Busby passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at her home in Malden, MA, at the age of 97. Eleanor was born in Lynn, MA on April 18, 1924 to the late Mildred Tyler (nee Willis) and William Ruffin. Eleanor graduated from Lynn English High School in 1943 and worked at the GE in Lynn during World War II. In 1947, she married Cecil C. Busby, Sr. and remained married until his death in 2011. She retired from Sears & Roebuck in 1986 after 16 years, at the age of 62. She was a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church in Lynn, MA.

Eleanor was predeceased by her son Richard Busby and her sisters Nancy Anderson and Marjorie Thompson. She is survived by her son, Cecil C. Busby, Jr. and his wife, Carole; her daughter, Mildred Robbins and her husband, Michael; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 7 nieces and one nephew and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
