Ellen Ann (Miller) Segal, age 86, of Lynn, passed away Saturday April 30, 2016 in the Grosvenor Park Nursing Center in Salem following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Martin Segal, with whom she shared fifty-nine years of marriage prior to his passing in 2009. Born and raised in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Dora (Van) Miller. For thirty years, Ellen was in the banking industry, working with Essex Bank and retiring from Eastern Bank. She enjoyed time spent with her family. Ellen is survived by her children and their spouses, Risa and Angel Torres of Lynn, Robert and Anne-Marie Segal of Marblehead, Charles and Ellie Segal of Swampscott and Michael Segal and Judy Brown Segal of Lynn, her grandchildren, Christine Poisson, Samantha Cannon, Matthew and William Segal, Adam and Ross Segal, Evan, Danny and Jessica Segal, Savannah Connor and Angel L. Torres, and Krysten and Mike Brown, many great-grandchildren, her nephew Brian Miller, her good friend John Duggan, her lifelong friend Louise Doherty and by extended family. She was the sister of the late Irwin "Flash" Miller. Graveside services will be held in the Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 50 Lakeshore Road, Lynn, on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Memorial observance will be held in the home of her son and daughter in law, Robert and Anne-Marie Segal, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers and for those desiring, memorials may be made to The NE Center and Home for Veterans.
