Elvira, age 82, of Lynn, passed away at Salem Hospital on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Ruperto Lemus.

She was born in 1941 in Chaletenango, El Salvador, daughter of the late Eliza Landaverde and the late Emilio Tejada of Nueva Concepción, El Salvador. Elvira was raised in Nueva Concepción, where she attended the local schools.

Elvira came to the United States to be with her children and extended family. She loved to gaze out into nature from her window. She especially
enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels that would visit her yard. Nature watching allowed her to reminisce of her youth when she would care for her farm animals. She loved to cook, watch her programs, and play with her grandchildren. Although she had many passions throughout her life, spending time with her family brought her the most happiness. She is survived by her nine children, Sonia Tejada, Jose Maximino, Elizabeth Tejada, Julio Tejada, Pedro Tejada, Raul Tejada, Khloe Lemus, Rosa Lemus and Reina Lemus; 30 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Her visitation will be in the Goodrich Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.   Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony's Parish, 38 Oaks Street, Everett, MA 02149.
