IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Florizel "Jack"
Soares
July 3, 1969 – October 8, 2025
Florizel "Jack" Soares, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, was born on July 3, 1969, in Manchester, Jamaica, and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts. He attended Lynn English High School and later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2013.
Jack spent his professional life in retail management, working faithfully as a store manager for Target and TJ Maxx. His leadership, integrity, and compassion left a lasting impression on all who worked with him.
Beyond his career, Jack was a man of deep faith and service. As an elder in his local church, he served with humility, love, and commitment. His heart for missions led him to start Global Mission Pioneer, a ministry through which he sponsored six pastors in Kenya, provided them with iPads filled with Ellen G. White writings, and funded bicycles to help them reach their congregations more easily.
Jack loved God's creation and found great joy in caring for animals and nature. He maintained a saltwater aquarium, built koi ponds at every home he lived in, and created birdhouses that brought life and beauty to his surroundings. He also took pride in caring for his plants and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Soares; his cherished children, Gabrielle, Jacqueline, Jeremiah, and Zepheniah Soares; his devoted siblings, Patricia Soares, Desreen Soares Johnson, Glendon Soares, Devon Soares, and Marcia Soares-Benalfew; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Jack will be remembered for his generous heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. His life was a reflection of service, love, and hope—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
Calling hours for Jack will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4pm-8pm, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, MA 01902. A Funerl Service will be celebrated for Jack on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 10am-11:30am, at Lynn Spanish SDA Church, at 12 Breed St. Lynn, MA.; followed by a procession to Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston Street, Lynn, MA 01904, for Committal Services.
