Frances A. (Conforto) Ramelli, of Lynn, formerly of the North End of Boston, passed away on September 22, 2026, after a period of declining health. She was 94 years old. The daughter of the late Frank and Caterina Conforto, she was born August 29, 1932, in Boston. Frances attended Boston Public Schools as a child and graduated high school at age 16. She later studied business administration and worked for several years as a bookkeeper. Additionally, she subsequently worked at Nynex (Verizon) for a number of years and retired from there. In retirement, Frances opened up a bed & breakfast in her home and the business was a huge success. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, going to the beach, and traveling. An avid traveler, she visited Aruba countless times. Frances further deeply admired musicals and appreciated a great singing voice, especially Judy Garland, Natalie Wood and Frank Sinatra. Frances will be missed by all who knew her. She taught her children to not do what was easy, but to do what was right. While providing her children with a wonderful life, she also acted as a guiding light. Predeceased by her parents, her brother Joseph Conforto, her brother Gaspar Conforto and sister-in-law Gloria Conforto; her former husband Frank M. Ramelli, and her long-time companion Herman "Chris" Christoforo. Survived by daughters Concetta Ramelli and Catherine Ramelli, both of Swampscott, and a son, Frank D. Ramelli of Swampscott.
