Francis "Frank" Edward Nelson III passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 11, 2025, at the age of 51. Born in Lynn on December 4, 1973, Frank was the son of Lorraine Nelson, and the late Francis Edward Nelson Jr. Frank was a lifetime native and resident of Lynn and a dedicated landscaper at Locke Landscaping in Nahant for over 20 years.

Frank was a free spirit with a big heart and an even bigger personality. From the very beginning, he marched to the beat of his own drum- or more accurately, his own guitar. He was a self-taught guitarist and natural musician. He picked up a guitar at just three years old, and from that moment on, music became the language of his life. Frank could make those strings sing and when he played, you felt it. His music came from the heart, raw and real, just like him. A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Frank loved nothing more than hitting the open road, riding free with the wind in his face and the world at his back. He lived for that feeling- the freedom, the thrill, the peace that came with it. It wasn't just a hobby for him, it was part of who he was. Two wheels gave him freedom, six strings gave him voice- both were parts of his soul, and he lived through them every single day.

Frank is survived by his mother Lorraine Nelson, his daughter Saige Nelson and her partner Michael Lane, his grandchildren Octavius and Zakīara Freed, his sister Kelly Nelson and her partner Russell Learned, his niece Brianna Nardone and her partner Joseph Canzano, and their children Addison and Avery Canzano, and many other family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

"May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand."

Family and friends are invited to a burial service that will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery meeting at the Boston St. entrance on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM followed by a celebration of life at Old Tyme Italian Cuisine.
