Frank John Piazza, age 97 of South Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 following a lengthy illness.  He was born and raised in Saugus, a graduate of Dorchester High School and Michigan State.  Prior to Frank's retirement, he was a Boston Fire Captain, EMS, Master Diver (Recovery Team).  He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the Army.  Frank was a member of Florian Hall and enjoyed bowling, gardening, wrestling and scuba diving.  Frank is survived by his wife Carol Boyd Piazza, daughters Jennifer Boyd Kalis, Christina Piazza Treddin and Carol Piazza Pinheiro, grandchildren Maia Kalis, Maximus Kalis, Sinatra Treddin and Clark Pinheiro, many nieces, nephews and extended family as well as his grand-dogs, Nutella, Skinny Ginny, Alfredo, E-wok, Cheeto and Winston.  A memorial service for Frank will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 in St. Michael's Chapel, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, MA at 11:00 a.m.  Following the service, family and friends are welcome to gather for refreshments and a time to share memories. Memorial donations can be made in Frank's memory to the Alzheimer's foundation.
