Frederick V. Burney, age 73, of Lynn, passed away December 26, 2015, following a brief illness. Born and raised in Lynn; he was the son of Rita Burney Kimber of Hooksett, NH and the late Frederick T. Burney.
Fred, fondly known as "The Hawk" by his coworkers, was employed for over twenty years as a mechanic and "jack of all trades" at Santron Machine Company in Ipswich.
He was very family orientated and thought the world of his children. His most fervent wish was to have peace amongst his siblings.
He was the father of Laurie Lee, Freddy, Gail and Gary Burney and John Bragan and grandfather of Breyanna and Harley. He was the brother of Oscar Burney, John Parker, Gary Parker, "baby sister" Gail Parker Restalli and the late Florence Burney Lowe and George Frank Parker.
Visitation will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home, Monday, January 4th from 10-12, followed by a funeral service at noon and burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
