Gail Prudence Hurd passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at age 80. She is survived by her son Philip J. Raza (and Penny) of Meshoppen, PA, her son Mark W. Raza of Beverly, MA, her brother Alden William Hurd (and Gail) of Lynn, and her cousin Cynthia Bequette (and partner Rick Thompson) of Bedford, NH.  She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Francis Raza, and her parents Frank Alden Hurd and Rhoda Rocha (Easton) Hurd.

Gail was a lifelong resident of Lynn and a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1959.  Gail always had a kind heart and a desire to serve others, which led her to a fulfilling career in elder care.  She was employed at the Phillips Manor nursing home in Lynn for many years as a Health Care Assistant.  The elderly residents in her care were blessed by her dedication, kind spirit and the warmth of her soul.

Gail was a member of the Dawn Bible Students Association with whom she spent endless hours in Bible study with their members.  She had a strong unshakeable faith in God and an amazing knowledge of the Bible.  During her illness, her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.  She was an inspiration with her strength, positive attitude, and her devotion to the Lord.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. May God grant her Eternal Life.
