George E. Russell, Jr., "Russ" age 63, of Peabody, formerly of West Lynn, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 following a brief illness.  He was the husband of Vera "Honey" Russell.  He was born and raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Tech High School and resided in Peabody for the past 2 years.  Prior to his retirement, George was a bartender for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, watching car races and camping and was a member of the American Legion, Post 6.   In addition to his wife of 23 years, Russ is survived by his step-children, Paula O'Brien and Jon Cardran, his grandchildren Christian "Numnuts" and Megan "Poopy" O'Brien, his sisters: Judy and husband Joe Giampa and Joan and husband Arthur Marcotte, all of Florida, and very special friends, Dianne and Gary, Kathy and Harry, Debbie and Dennis and Freddy.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday, September 29th, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
