Gilberte Jean Joseph died December 16, 2020 at age 64, due to complications from a stroke she suffered a week prior. She was born on October 14, 1956 in Hinche, Haiti; the daughter of Arnole and Cecile Jean.
Gilberte spent the majority of her life in Haiti. She attended middle school and at the age of 16, she started working. In the year of 2000, Gilberte married her husband Sadrack Joseph. That same year she gave her life to Jesus. She was a devoted Christian and a good servant of God.
Several years later, Gilberte suffered kidney failure and she migrated to the United States in 2015 to live with her daughter. Gilberte was known for being kind, loving, fun and a very generous person. She enjoyed listening to Haitian and African Gospel music. She has left wonderful memories in our hearts.
Gilberte was the loving mother of Dieunitha Peirre and her husband Johnny of Lynn and Wood Joseph of Haiti. She was the grandmother of Jabin and Joshua Pierre and sister of Terese Jean and Mamoune Andre. She also leaves cousins: Darline, Marie, Marthe, Roselaine, Edna, Fifine, Wilga, and Jesula, nieces; Natacha, Patricia, Celina, Gigi and Sarah and nephews: Yuenel, Jamesly, Kinzer and Agate. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
Private Services will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home, Lynn on December 28th with visitation: 9-10, funeral: 10-11-30, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
