Helen Mary Martin, age 82, passed away surrounded by family members on Friday September 13, 2019. Born on January 18, 1937 in South Boston, she lived her early childhood years with her parents and siblings before relocating to East Boston. She raised three kids on her own after the passing of her late husband on September 19, 1970. She was loved very dearly by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and anyone who crossed her path. She was the most selfless, kind- hearted woman and a wonderful caretaker with a heart of gold. She spent a lot of her time rocking in her favorite recliner chair, drinking her hot cup of tea and being with family. She loved going out shopping at different stores with her daughter and granddaughter and making the best of her days. She was always referred to as Nana by many family and friends and in her toughest times, even up until she passed away, she would always say "Positive Pam, Be Strong and Fight Through It."

She was the Beloved wife of the late Joseph E Martin of Chelsea. Mother of Kathleen Martin, Joseph Martin and Sheila Roldan. Daughter of the late Peter McCormack and Helen (Milligan) McCormack. Sister of the late Francis and Thomas McCormack of South Boston; Anna McCormack Stravinksy of Louisanna. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Burdick of East Boston, and many grandchildren; Charles and Joseph Burdick, Johnny Roldan, Mickey, Reka and Jeneka Vilarson, Andrew, Matthew, Jessica Roldan; Alecia, Joseph, Timothy, Madison and Cameron Martin. Predeceased by granddaughter Jennifer Roldan. She was also very adored and loved by 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, on Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.  Burial will be at a later date.
