Herbert E. Brook Jr. passed May 29, 2018 after a brief illness. Lifelong resident of Lynn, MA . Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA Entered the U.S. Navy at age 17. He was stationed in The Philippines, Bougainville, Australia, and the Pacific. He was a WWII Veteran and had been given Honor with Two Purple Hearts and One Bronze Star for his services. He was part of the crew on the U.S.S. Adams while in WWII. He worked for different employers following the discharge of his Noble Services to our country The United States of America. He worked at General Electric Company as a Piece Worker in the Turbine Departments, Awning company of Lynn, and Dori Shoe. His interests were watching sports by the Grandchildren such as Soccer, Baseball and Basketball, Dance and Recitals, He was happy to attend Graduations for them as well as a few good tips for the future. He watched Bowling, Tennis, Football, Baseball, Dancing, He loved the Macy's Day parade and also the Memorial day or Fourth of July parades, He watched the Olympics with great respect & adoration for all who participated. 60 minutes was a favorite and earlier years he loved to watch The Lawrence Welk show with his wife Lucy. He is survived by: Lucy D. Brook (DiThomaso) Wife. Daughters : Rose M. Brook., Cheryl A. Brook-Kirby, Charles G. Kirby And last son Herbert E. Brook III. Grandchildren: Jason Brook, Fredricksburg, VA Richard Brook Greenfield,MA , Sean Nobil, Kyle Brook, Daniel Brook of Lynn, MA., Rachel , Erika , Charles R Kirby of Peabody, MA. Sydney & Hayley Brook of Leesburg, GA. Neices, Nephews, and Friends. Memorial donations can be made in honor to The Heart Association. A memorial service will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home 4-7PM on Tuesday June 19th.
