Irving C. Rouse (Irv), 90, of Lynn, Mass., passed away on November 27, 2019, at The Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was born on March 29, 1929, in Lynn, to the late Alton and Mildred Rouse. Irv loved to cook and organize events for family and friends. During his younger days, Irv served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed by General Electric in Lynn. He volunteered many hours coaching his sons' Little League teams at the Wyoma Little League Field in Lynn and was involved in the Shoemaker Post 345. Prior to moving back to Lynn, Irv and his wife Nancy enjoyed 30 years of warm weather and staying active together in Largo, FL. He was predeceased by his amazing wife, Nancy, beloved son, Michael, and his sister, Elaine Poplawski. Irv is survived by his son, David and wife Katie of Melrose, MA; daughter, Diane Hunter and husband Scott of The Villages, FL; daughter, Debra Gilmore of The Villages, FL; son Donald and wife Kathy of Ossipee, NH; daughter Cheryl MacDuff and husband Paul of Lynn, MA; daughter-in-law Lisa (Rouse) Lavasseur and husband Jim of Beverly, MA; sister Carolyn Minton of Jackson, NH. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The family will have a private graveside service in June of 2020.
