Obituary

Jacqueline Carol Gilman, 83, a resident of Lynn, passed away on February 2, 2026, at Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved daughter of the late Stuart and Ethel (Warren) Balser. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Stuart and Charles Balser, and survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Balser) Pauley.

Jacqueline was mother to her daughters Linda (Wells) Conway of Lynn, Mary (Schultz) Christian of Lynn, and Rustijo (Gilman) Malone of Fall River, and a devoted grandmother to her cherished grandchildren, Karlene Conway, Krysten Conway, William Conway, Leanne Christian, Brian Thomas, Tracy Malone, Terrance Malone, and Fiona Mercado, her five great grandchildren, and nieces and nephew.

Throughout her life, Jacqueline was deeply committed to helping others, especially those experiencing homelessness. She believed firmly in dignity for all people and gave generously of her time, energy, and heart to ensure that no one felt forgotten or unseen.

A devoted member of her church, Jacqueline, found strength and purpose in faith. She attended services as often as she could and lived out her beliefs through action, embodying love, humility, and service in everyday life. Her faith guided her, and her example inspired those around her.
Though she will be deeply missed, the compassion and goodness Jacqueline shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
