It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of John P. Duffy, age 54, a lifelong resident of Lynn. Born, raised and educated in Lynn, he was the son of the late John T. and Mary (Kiely) Duffy.
John was a graduate of Lynn Classical, class of 1979. He was employed as an electrical contractor for Duffy Electric, a family owned and operated business in Lynn.
He was the loving father of Nicole Roberts & her fiancé Alex Chavez of Amesbury, Jody Roberts & her fiancé Corey Cook of Salisbury and John Roberts of Wakefield and grandfather of Devin, Kyle and Gabrielle Kulbeth, Kayden and Kaitlyn Cook. He also leaves brothers, Steve Duffy & his wife Mary and Daniel Duffy; his stepmother Donna Comeau and his Uncle Jack Kiely all of Lynn; nephews, Andrew, Brendon, Stevie and Dylan; a niece Amy and his lifelong friend Lisa Roberts of Wakefield. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, November 18th at noon in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn. Visitation prior to the service from 10:00-12:00. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
