John Anthony Fazio, 58, of Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, surrounded by family, at Massachusetts General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Revere and raised in Lynn, he was the son of John Fazio and Jeannette Cennami who predeceased him. Upon graduating high school, John enlisted in the military, where he proudly served in the United States Navy.

After his time in the Navy, John spent much of his working life in factories and construction, such as Boyds Potato Chips, West Lynn Creamery, and Lynn Plastics.

John enjoyed listening to music, watching sports, playing card games, and fishing. He especially loved being with his family and was always willing to help them, especially his Aunt Matilda and Uncle Gillis. Whether it was fixing things, shoveling, or simply being there when needed. Helping his family and friends brought him the greatest joy.

John will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew him.

He is survived by his son, John Fazio of Lynnfield; his brother, Joseph Fazio of Chatham; his sisters, Matilda Riley of Lynn and Anne Marie Sherman of Florida; nieces and nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles.
