John Michael Johnston, age 60, passed away at his home after a long illness. He was the son of Catherine A. (Curran) Johnston and the late Gerald Johnston Sr.  In addition to his mother, he leaves a brother Jay, many cousins and friends on Prince Edward Island, Canada, where he loved spending his summers.  John was a very dedicated teacher at Pickering Middle School.  He truly loved teaching.  John was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Salem State College.  Services will be held on Prince Edward Island, Canada, at a later date.  Arrangements under the direction of Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn.
