John S. Richard died on May 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, he was 61 years old.
John was born at Lynn Hospital and spent his entire life in the City of Lynn. He graduated from LVTI and was a skilled craftsman. He worked in the construction industry and people were always impressed with the quality of his workmanship.
John was an avid fisherman and passed that joy onto his son and grandson. He enjoyed his family and the many family events through the years.
John was the son of the late Joseph P. Richard and the late Irene A. Bedard.
He was the beloved father of Steven J. Richard and his wife Bobbie (Dodds) Richard of Chandler AZ. John leaves behind his grandchildren Adrianna, Lauren, and Cruz Richard.
John also leaves his longtime companion Sheryl Bourgeois and her sons Eric and Thomas, whom he considered his own children.
He will be missed by his siblings, Arthur J. Richard and his wife Karen (Kozlosky), the late Thomas E. Richard, Debra J. Richard her wife Jen Blake, Julie A. (Richard) Monks and her husband Thomas, Michael G. Richard, Louise M. Richard and her husband Frank Rudeen, Nancy J. (Richard) Lynch, and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements by the Goodrich Funeral Home of Lynn and services will be private. A celebration of life will happen at a later date.
