John Joseph Ryan, age 83, of Lynn, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Hazel (Sprague) Ryan, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late John Ryan Sr. and Sylvia Ryan-Doucette. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at General Electric. John enjoyed fishing and time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, John Ryan, Linda Molea, Robert Ryan and Beth Ryan, three sisters, three brothers, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dennis Doucette. Visitation will be Thursday in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, 9:30 a.m. – noon. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
