John R. Smith "Smitty" of Saugus, MA
February 28, 1937 – February 13, 2020

Born in Boston and raised in the Mission Hill Projects, he worked for 55 years as an auto-parts salesman. He was an avid golfer and loved all Boston teams – though the Celtics were his favorite. He and his wife, Barbara had 50 years of marriage together, enjoying a wonderful life. He was raised by his loving Aunt Agnes and Uncle Reginald. He leaves behind; his loving wife Barbara (Sullivan), his son Stephen Smith and wife Valerie of New Hampshire, his daughter Theresa Smith of New Brunswick, Canada, as well as one granddaughter Nicole Smith and one great-grandson Dylan Smith. He is also remembered by his two sisters Veronica Barnett of Wakefield and Brenda Hunt of Canton, and a sister-in-law Ellen Griffin.

John's service will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn,MA from 1:00-3:00 pm. All are invited back to 9 Broadway, Saugus, MA, for refreshments after the service.
