Jose F. Medeiros, age 60, of Lynn, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was the husband of Maria Margarida Medeiros. Jose was born in Sao Miguel Nordeste Azores, the son of the late Jorge Medeiros Calhau and Nicolina Pacheco Almas. He immigrated to the United States in 1970. He lived in Cambridge for most of his childhood, and he worked as a baker for many years in Cambridge and Somerville. He moved to live in Peabody in 1987 and worked at Suede Leather Co. in Salem. He also worked for many years at Central Bakery in Peabody. He enjoyed soccer and his favorite team was Benfica. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michelle and her husband Kevin Corbett of FL, Jason and his wife Tania Medeiros of Peabody and Nicholas Medeiros of Lynn, two step children, Michael and his wife Natella Cacete and Armindo Cacete, all of Peabody, 4 grandchildren, Tomas Corbett of FL, Jason Medeiros Jr. of Peabody, Ayden Cacete and Giana Cacete, both of Peabody, 4 brothers, Antonio and his wife Sara Medeiros of Malden, Luis and his wife Adelina Medeiros, Mario and his wife Margarida Medeiros, all of Somerville, and Eduardo and his wife Diane Calhau of Methuen, 9 nephews, 13 nieces and many great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rosa Melo, Gilberto Calhau and Victor Calhau. Funeral from the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visitation is Monday, 4-7 p.m.
