Jose J. Minaya, "Eddy", age 51, of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2017, of natural causes. Jose was born in the Dominican Republic on August 21, 1965. He graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical High School in 1985. He continued striving by joining the United States Army Reserves "First Battalion Company D13" and served for our country for over ten years. Jose J. Minaya worked as an Aviation Mechanic for GE Aviation and Aircraft Manufacturing Company for over 20 years. He enjoyed listening to genre music, Tipico, traveling to the Dominican Republic, breeding roosters, going fishing, watching boxing and football, etc. Jose Minaya was preceded in death by his loving mother Mercedes Minaya and is survived by parents: Remigio Minaya and his wife Socorro Minaya, brothers and sisters: Carlos E. Minaya, Edgar Minaya, Ediburga Minaya (Ella), Miriam Minaya, Milagros Minaya, and Joel Minaya, children: Remy Minaya and his wife Gicela Minaya, Christine Minaya, Mercedes N. Minaya, grandchildren: Helen Lora, Nayalin Minaya, and Zylaiah Mary Mason, nieces: Nikita M. Santana, Kiara E. Santana, the Cruz family, and friends. Visitation will be Monday, 5:00pm-8:00pm in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn. Burial will be private.
