Boyd, Joseph "Peppy" D; of East Boston grew up in the North End passed away on July 5, 2021 at sixty years of age. Beloved son of the late Henry Rudolph Boyd and Dorothy Marie Boyd. Predeceased by his two sisters Dorothy Diecidue and Janet Boyd and his mother in law Amy Gannett. Survived by his loving wife Doreen Boyd and his children Christopher and Joey Boyd, Richie and Jimmy Brennan, Derek, Jenna, Brendan, and Nick Boyd and his cherished grandchildren and father in law Richie Gannett. Also, survived by his many sisters and brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Peppy grew up in the North End of Boston with 14 siblings and attended the Eliot and Michelangelo Schools and then moved to East Boston midway into his Seventh grade. Peppy enjoyed fixing cars, polishing them and driving them. He became a tow truck driver for Quibys Towing and then for Massport and helped many stranded drivers.
His knack for cars came from his dad who taught him how to be a mechanic and this trait he passed on to some of his children. He also, loved his oldies music, Peppy will be missed by his family and friends. Peppy, may you be lifted up to heaven and may your soul Rest In Peace!
