Obituary

At the wonderful age of 83, Josephine Calef decided it was time to take one last adventure. Born on June 2,1943. Josephine grew up in Lynn Ma.

While her family wasn’t quite ready to let her go, we’re sure heaven was in desperate need of someone who could keep the conversation going.

She was the most amazing mom to Tom Calef and his wife Dina of Salem; Paul Calef of Lynn; Robert Calef and his wife Tara of Lynn; Julie Wilson and Tom of San Antonio TX; 6 Grandchildren Kaitlin, Jeasa, Jalaya, Hannah, Cassidy, Hunter and 1 Great Grandson Adonis; Her brother in law whom which she shared a special bond with Jack Wetherell ;2 sisters Alberta Nalbandian of Randolph; She is now reunited with her beloved sister Helen Wetherell that she missed dearly; Josephine’s greatest accomplishment wasn’t found in awards or titles—it was her family. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren, great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. They were the light of her life, and she never missed a chance to brag about them or remind them how much they were loved.

If you knew Josephine, you knew she never met a stranger. A five-minute errand could easily become an hour because she stopped to talk to everyone. Cashiers, neighbors, or anyone standing nearby—by the end of the conversation, they were friends.

And then there were the sunglasses. Josephine loved her sunglasses so much that we wouldn’t be surprised if she packed a pair for heaven. They weren’t just an accessory—they were part of who she was. If you were looking for her, just follow the sparkle of her sunglasses and the sound of laughter.

She lived with humor, kindness, and a heart big enough for everyone. Her unforgettable personality and never ending stories will be missed more than words can say.

So, the next time you put on a pair of sunglasses or find yourself chatting with a stranger, think of Josephine. Smile, say hello, and know she’d be proud.

We’ll miss you forever. Keep those sunglasses on, keep making

new friends and save us a seat. Heaven just got a whole lot friendlier.

In keeping with Josephine's wishes, cremation will take place privately. A Celebration of Life "Party" will be announced at a later date.
