Kathleen Chalas, better known as Kathy Spillane, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, June 6 ^th , 2021 at the age of 66. She spent her final days, surrounded by family and close friends at Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers, MA.

She is survived by her brothers, Terrence and Jeffrey, sisters, Christine, Karen & Mary aka Cuddles, three children, Ronnie, Tammy and Jamie, nine grandchildren, Ieshia, Devin, Jallessia, Ja'Quan, Mack Jr., Daryl, Heaven, Skylar, and Ronnie Jr. Kathy had a plethora of nieces and nephews.

Although Kathy was born and raised in Lynn, MA, she had family that extended from New Hampshire to Canada. Kathy is also survived by Sarah, Dianne and the rest of the Kinney family.

Kathy was born on St. Patty's Day, March 17 ^th , 1955, to parents Terrence Spillane and Marjorie Roussin. Her and her younger brother Terry attended Lynn schools and grew up thick as thieves.

Kathy spent the majority of her life taking care of her children and then her grandchildren. She loved all her kids with every beat of her heart.

There are no words that could describe the kind of person, friend, or mother Kathy was. She was the rock of her family and the glue that kept it together. She always had an open door. Without having much, she never hesitated to give… even if it was her last.

In her early years, she was the life of the party! Later in life, she grew ill. Still, she fought until the very end. Now, she is at peace and can finally rest.

Our Sister…Mom…Nana…Aunty Kathy…Friend was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure. And we will never know another love like hers.

Thankfully, we have enough memories to last us several lifetimes.

The family will host a quiet viewing at Goodrich Funeral Home on Friday, June 11 ^th at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow, around 1:00 PM, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
