Kayla Jaliece McKenzie was born August 27, 1990 in Salem, and passed away June 30, 2017. Kayla was a sweet, loving and caring person with the most amazing personality. She would light up the room when she walked in. She worked as a waitress at The Tides in Nahant, as a barista at Starbucks in Lynn and most recently at Four Winds in Lynn. She enjoyed being out with friends, spending time with her nephews and god daughter, camping at Old Orchard, canoeing the Saco and Charles River, paddle boarding in the ocean, dancing in the best night clubs, traveling to Jamaica, going to the beach and listening to Dancehall Reggae.
Kayla is survived by her mother Cathy Corrigan and father Curmit McKenzie both of Lynn. Her sister Cassie Beaver and brother in law Michael Beaver, her brother Timothy Mears and sister in law Karen Castillo of Chelsea, MA., her nephews Christopher Beaver and Isaak Mears, her god daughter Mya Rose, her boyfriend Jordan Rucker all of Lynn, also by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless close friends. Her funeral will be Friday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the East Baptist Church, 300 Western Ave., Lynn. Visitation will be in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St. Lynn on Thursday, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
