Lisa Marie Kirk Toomey, loving daughter, mother and grandmother was born in Saugus, Massachusetts, on November 9, 1959, to Janet Cameron Kirk Madsen and Ray (Buzzy) Kirk and departed this life unexpectedly, on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 63.

Lisa was a lifetime resident of Lynn where she attended St. Mary's High School.  She worked as a Healthcare Administrator for the Lynn Community Health Center for many years until her retirement.

Lisa absolutely adored spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Animals and jewelry also brought her great joy. She would unselfishly give what money she had to the MSPCA, even her last dollar. The words kind and compassionate do not begin to scratch the surface or describe the type of woman my mother was.

Lisa loved her jewelry!  She had every gem, under the sun, that you could name and needed to tell you all about its origin, so you better have an hour to listen!  Everything she collected was beautiful and unique just like her heart.

Some of her all-time favorite hobbies were reading Stephen King novels, shopping online, watching old movies and coloring in vintage coloring books with her gel pens but what we will remember most about Lisa is her sense of humor, strong will, compassion for all living things, and BIG hugs.

Lisa is survived by her parents Janet Cameron Kirk Madsen and Ray (Buzzy) Kirk and stepmother Sarina Cannistraro Kirk. Her children- Melissa Kirk Nolan, son-in-law, Thomas, Nolan, Amanda Kirk, Adena Toomey and James Toomey.  Her sibling, Brian Kirk, step-sister Teri O'Connor; Grandchildren Justin Avery, Thomas Nolan, Makai Kirk, Meelah Kirk, James Toomey and a host of nieces and nephews.  Preceding Lisa in death is her husband, James Toomey, her Irish twin brother, Raymond Kirk and grandchild Anthony Toomey.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Lisa's life on June 24, 2023 from 1-3 at Goodrich Funeral home (128 Washington Street, Lynn).  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the MSPCA.
