Obituary

Lloyd Warren, Jr. age 85, loving husband of sixty-four years of Berdell Warren, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday December 27, 2022. Affectionately known to many as "Duna" or "Shaft".

Born on October 7, 1937 in Georgetown, SC he was the son of the late Lloyd and Gladys Warren Sr. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 1958.  He moved to Lynn, MA in 1968 and worked at GE / Ametek where he worked as a Technician and retired after 32 years of service. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He would do absolutely anything for his family.  He was an incredible pool player, captain, and loved spending time with his pool buddies   Another one of his favorite pastimes was fishing which he truly enjoyed he was a fishing fanatic.  He was a long-time member of Zion Baptist Church and the choir. He was the key to our family and he loved going back down south to Mansfield Plantation it was one of his favorite family road trips in which we would head down south and stop off at South of the Border. He loved going to his kids and grandchildren's sporting events as he was everyone's number one fan.

He is survived by his daughter Glendora (Warren) and husband Marcus Turner, and his sons Jesse Warren, Bunny Warren, Richie Warren and wife Sharon (Wilkie) all of Lynn. He was predeceased by his wife Berdell Warren and eldest son Leroy Warren.  He had nine grandchildren (Cassandra Thomas, James Runner III, Justin Day, Jessica Day, Jesse Warren, Jr., Jackie Sullivan, Richie Warren, Jr., Kera Warren, and Brianna Warren) and fourteen great grandchildren as well as many siblings and relatives.

Service Information: There will be two hours of visitation for relatives and friends at Zion Baptist Church, 4 Adams Street, Lynn, MA 01902 on Wednesday, January 4 th , 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. Immediately following the service their will be a repass at the Brotherhood located at 15 Coburn Street Lynn, MA from 2:00 – 5:00p.m.
